“Just wanted to say a big thank you to Chris for making our mini trip to Devon such a brilliant experience. Venturing out for the first time since ‘Lockdown’, we didn’t know what to expect, but from the first evening spent on the river looking for beavers it was just great. We saw beavers on each evening and Chris ensured that we were in the right place at the right time to get the best experience. With his all round naturalist skills he also showed us the bird, butterfly and dragonfly specialities of the area. All in all this was a superb trip which I highly recommend.” Sheila and Roger Wasley, Gloucestershire July 2020
“Originally my friend and I had planned a birding trip abroad but there was no chance (due to Covid-19) so we took the option of visiting East Devon, with Chris as our expert guide. It turned out to be a great decision as we met the beavers of the river Otter as well as visiting two other main habitats – coast and heath for seeing a variety of birds too. My highlights were the Cirl bunting, Dartford warblers and Peregrine Falcons. The beavers were a delight with several close encounters including watching one male meet a swan family! The day after our trip finished the Re-introduction Project was given permission for the beavers to stay! Thanks Chris, also for sourcing a good cream tea and B&B!” Janice Bridger, Birmingham August 2020
“We had a fabulous evening with Chris who showed us the beavers on the River Otter after a short walk on a flat path. His experience, gained after several years of observations, was put to good use as he took us to the exact spot where the beavers emerge and at the right time. We were lucky and saw both a kit and an adult with good views of each which is amazing. It is wonderful to see truly wild beavers in their natural habitat and to have Chris with us, as an expert guide who was only too happy to pass on his knowledge, made the evening very special indeed. A wonderful experience and one not to be missed. Highly recommended.” Lesley & George Carr, Devon September 2020
